What is in the pack

Awaken · Bergamot, lemon and sweet orange powered by menthol
Bright and fresh. Bergamot is the classic mood-lifting oil and lemon is used for clarity, so this is the one for a foggy head that needs clearing gently.

Invigorate · Peppermint and spearmint with a proper load of menthol
Crisp, cold and completely unmissable. Peppermint is the oil most associated with alertness, and there’s a lot of it here. For the mornings you’ve slept badly and need the shower to do some heavy lifting.

Citrus Burst · Sweet orange, tangerine and blood orange softened with vanilla, lifted with peppermint, wintergreen and menthol
More cool sherbet than sharp. The sweet citrus oils are the cheerful end of the spectrum, warmth rather than a jolt. For mornings you want lifting rather than waking.

Sweet Spearmint · Spearmint and peppermint over sweet orange and vanilla, with plenty of menthol
Spearmint is peppermint’s gentler cousin, refreshing without the sharpness. All the cooling clarity of a proper mint blend with the edges taken off. The crowd pleaser.

Energy · Grapefruit, sweet orange, spearmint, ylang ylang and lemongrass
Fresh yet floral with herbal notes. Grapefruit and lemongrass do the invigorating work, ylang ylang keeps it light and soothing.

Positivity · Grapefruit, lemon, lavender, peppermint and rose geranium, with the lightest touch of menthol

How to use a shower steamer

Put one on the shower floor, away from the direct stream of water. You want it damp, not drowned. A steamer sitting under the tap will fizz itself away in under a minute, and splashes are plenty to get it going.

If your shower floor is small or the water goes everywhere, pop it in an organza bag and hang it from the caddy instead. Or dissolve one in a bowl of warm water and leave the bowl on the ledge.

Shower steamers are not bath bombs. They are made for the shower rather than the tub, and they are not for use directly on skin.

How to store them

Keep them sealed and out of the bathroom between showers. They are made to react to moisture, so a humid bathroom shelf will quietly use them up before you get the chance to.

What is in them

High concentrations of pure essential oils, no artificial fragrance oils. Handmade in Perth, Western Australia. Cruelty free, never tested on animals.

Shower steamers are like bath bombs, but for people who don’t have time to sit around in a tub. Pop one in your shower, let it fizz, and enjoy a spa-like aroma session while you pretend you're at a luxury retreat. Curious? Read more here!

Method 1: Place the steamer tablet or a segment of it on the shower floor away from the direct shower stream. Let water splashes from your showering activate the tablet, that will release the oils and vapor into the air. The heat and steam will carry it upwards for you to breathe in.

Method 2: Put a segment or a steamer in a bowl (not aluminium or plastic they react with essential oils). Get in the shower and add some water to the bowl and let the steamer dissolve. You can either place the bowl at head level or on a ledge (as close to your face as you can) or you could splash the water on the shower wall of glass, above head high and let it drip down. The surface wall area and the heat from the shower helps to disperse the essential oils in the air for you to breathe in.

Method 3: put the steamer or a part of it in an organza bag and hang it to the shower head or on a shower basket at head height. Splash some water on the steamer to activate it. Note: please do not let steamer mix drip on your skin.

Method 4: while in the shower grab a shower segment, wet it and draw with it on the wall or glass, leaving steamer residues that can be easily cleaned at the end of shower.

For most part all stammers will snap just by applying a bit of pressure either side while holding in your hands. Just like snapping a chocolate bar just thicker.

However, from time to time some tablets are more stubborn than others. In that case I like to get a rolling pin or a hammer out.

Wrap the naked steamer in a towel and give it a wack, then wrap the broken pieces back in the bag to keep them fresh.

Keep wrapped in a dry, dark place away from UV lights and humidity before use. Essential Oils can be affected by the sunlight or evaporate if not properly stored.

The effect of the steamer also depends on the type of shower you have.

The effect of shower steamers is best when the shower type is enclosed, similar to a shower cabin. As all the steam is trapped inside and gets stronger as you shower.

An open plan shower lets most of the steam escape the immediate area hence the essential oils travel away from you and the effect is not as strong. In this case we recommend putting the steamer into a ceramic bowl (not plastic or aluminium as the essential oil react to it) and place it on the ledge or a wall niche or somewhere closer to your face. You may have to experiment to get it right. By using a bowl you are trapping the oils and not letting them drain away too fast. You can leave the bowl in the shower for couple of days after as an air freshener.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar, Citric Acid, Kaolin Clay, Sodium Lauryl Sulphoacetate (SLSA), Menthol, Olive Oil, Polysorbate 80, Water, Colour.

Not every steamer contains every oil. Each one has its own blend, listed in the product description.
